Odd Experience – Day 1033

Odd Experience

I had an odd experience the other day. I’m glad I at least managed to take photos of the phenomenon I saw, although the truly eerie nature of the encounter isn’t readily evident. It can’t be conveyed in a still shot. That’s because what made the phenomenon especially weird was the way it appeared to be a roiling, tumbling fluid of some kind contained within a circular boundary.

It didn’t ‘visit’ with me for long. And yeah, I know. I probably sound a bit goofy attributing sentient characteristics to a ball of light on my porch ceiling, but you had to be here.

I don’t know what caught my attention at first, but I am posting sequential photos in the order I took them. The first, of course, is what I saw when I first recognized it was there and ‘sensed the presence.’

The Progression

As you can see, it started out as a simple round reflection on the roof of our porch. The circumference of the circle was well defined and there was no movement whatsoever within the circle. Quite simply, it looked like a reflection from a perfectly round mirror.

I say ‘quite simply,’ but the very presence of a perfectly round reflection of light on the underbelly of our porch is strange. I looked around for what could be reflecting a perfect circle like that and could find nothing. Nary a birdbath nor a mirror (literal or otherwise) was to be found. Not a glass or bowl of water, either.

But then the reflection (if you can call it that) got really strange. It started swirling and looping on the inside, while consistently maintaining its circular shape. It looked familiar. Was it reminding me of a molecule? A virus?

What in the world was I seeing?

Dead End Search

I tried to find the source of this reflection. Or phenomenon. Or whatever you want to call it. I reasoned that the source would have to be at or below the level of where I was sitting, since it was reflecting onto the porch ceiling – and there is a lip or overhang on our porch. So the source would have to be from below.

I found nothing.

I’d been working on a project before initially noticing the orb’s reflection. And shortly after photographing it and searching without success for its source, my attention returned to the work I was engaged in and I ‘forgot’ the substance of this experience.

Is that what happens when we encounter the unexplained? We just forget about it?

I haven’t seen it since.

I only wish I could post the ‘live action’ photos of it in this blog. The way the light and shadows were moving within that sphere was mesmerizing.

Presence – Day 778

Rising Moon – 12/28/2020 – Photo: L. Weikel

Presence

While the moon won’t be at its fullest until tomorrow night at 10:30 p.m. ET, it was hard to ignore her presence as she rose above the tree line early this evening. My eyes were drawn to the horizon and when I caught sight of that massive orb rising in the eastern sky, I felt a direct connection between it and my heart.

Tomorrow’s full moon is 2020’s 13th full moon. It’s time to say goodbye.

It’s interesting to note how some objects and some people don’t need to say or do a thing in order to have an influence on their surroundings. Every time I look at the moon, no matter what its phase, I feel a reaction inside myself. Sometimes it’s wonder and awe. Other times it’s delight. Sometimes – not often, but occasionally – it’s a sense of foreboding.

Whatever reaction the moon has on me inevitably comes down to its presence.

This concept applies similarly to humans. It’s fascinating to witness the effect some people have on their surroundings simply by showing up and being themselves. Their mere presence has the power to shift attitudes or change minds.

Yearning

As we walked this evening, I found it difficult to tear my eyes away from the moon. The shadows she cast were stark and profound. There was no wishy-washy doubt lingering between light and dark. Our shadows, leading us forward since the moon was peering over our shoulders, were crisp and certain. They knew where we were going.

Sensing a slight dimming of the moon’s brilliance at one point, I looked up and saw clouds flirting and taking shape around and beyond her. As I watched, it looked ever so much to me as though the clouds took the form of a waning crescent ‘ahead’ of the moon itself – indeed, a crescent with a classic ‘man-in-the-moon’ face. For the life of me, it looked like the full moon was chasing its future, which in its own way was yearning to move forward, cloud arms outstretched toward an invisible goal.

Take Advantage

It feels important for us to take advantage of the next few days to contemplate what we want to lean toward this coming year. Where is our shadow leading us? What adventures do we yearn to pursue?

I’m reminded of the dance between Jupiter and Saturn. As we’re well aware, Jupiter has been pursuing Saturn, leaning toward it, and it finally managed to catch its prize one week ago today in the Grand Conjunction.

It was quite surprising then, tonight, to witness just how far Jupiter has left Saturn in its dust in the mere seven days since that conjunction.

I wonder if we’ll slingshot forward toward our dreams just like Jupiter in 2021?

What’s It Going to Take? – Day 161

Easter Sky, 21 April 2019 –  Photo: L. Weikel

Change is in the Air

Just look at that photo.

That’s a reflection of what I’m feeling inside, this Easter Day.

I can’t say I’m feeling ‘blue skies.’ Or ‘sunshine.’ But I can’t say I’m feeling ‘foggy,’ either, nor would I characterize my internal meteorological state as ‘blue,’ ‘miserable,’ or even ‘torpid.’

If pushed, I’d probably suggest ‘glorious,’ ‘volatile,’ turbulent’ and most definitely ‘changeable.’ Certainly ripe for transformation.

I’m ready. Ready to shake things up. Break out of my rut. Stop being so conventional.

Sensing Karl’s Presence

A few weeks ago, I was feeling the distinct sense that Karl was ‘around.’ Truth be told, his presence had receded to a great extent over the past two years or so. He was much more communicative (in his way) the first five years following his death.

While sad that the messages weren’t coming through to me anywhere near as often, I’ve also felt deeply at peace with it. In fact, I’ve actively refrained from reaching out to him; I want him to be moving on, continuing on his evolutionary path, doing whatever he was called to do ‘next.’ I certainly did not want to be responsible for tethering him in any way to this reality.

So imagine my surprise when he actually arranged for me to either meet in person or have a conversation with three different people (none of whom know each other, one of whom I’d never met before, a second I’ve not seen in person for at least 8 years and only spoken to sporadically, and the third I’d only met twice in my life, the last time being five years ago) all within the span of three weeks.

Three Unexpected – and Unrelated – Messengers

I should note that I did not know any of these women as people who actively communicate with beings on the other side of the veil.

Yet, in each of those conversations, none of which had anything to do with Karl, he ‘broke through’ and made himself and his presence known.

And each one of them gave me essentially the same message, which was Karl provocatively asking, “Mom, what’s it going to take? It’s time.”

Each instance, naturally, has been stunning. Astounding. Completely and totally unexpected. And as each encounter followed the other, the urgency of the core message became harder to escape or dismiss.

The invitation, his hand, is extended. I need only accept.

“There’s work to be done.”
