Don’t Get Stung – Day 689

Don’t Get Stung

Nefarious intentions are afoot and we Pennsylvanians (and all Americans, actually) need to make sure we don’t get stung.

I don’t know about you, but I had a headache all day. I am willing to blame it on something in the air – fall allergies or rotting leaves or something – but at least some of it, I’m sure, is a hangover from the ugliness of last night’s performance during the presidential debate. Good grief.

Two Things

While we may be reluctant to engage with what’s parading around in our country as politics, we need to refrain from having our heads in the sand.

Here are two things that we need to become aware of and remain alert to as we approach the election on November 3rd. Not that the risks posed by either of these things ends on November 3rd – actually, that’s when they very well may kick into action.

It’s for that very reason that I recommend we all educate ourselves about both. Now. And figure out a strategy on how to deal with both.

Hijacking Our Electors

Here is something that the Republicans in the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives created and passed today (September 30th). This is in keeping with the strategy set forth in the Atlantic article I linked to last week. They’re not kidding. This isn’t a joke.

Republicans do not intend to give up their power without a fight.

Speaking of a Fight

And speaking of a fight, it’s important that we educate ourselves as to just who these “Proud Boys” are that DT refused to denounce in last night’s debate.

Watch this video clip of Gavin McInnes, the founder of the so-called Proud Boys and ask yourself what kind of a monster would refuse to denounce them.

I’m not linking to this stuff to make us fearful. I’m linking to them so that we’re aware. So that we’re not caught unaware. I’m linking to them so that, as intelligent people, we can make plans on how to counter what very well may be some seriously destabilizing efforts over the next several months. We need to realize just what’s at stake – and make sure we don’t get stung.
